Dutch Championship Poetry Slam (NKPS)

Nederlands Kampioenschap Poetry Slam (NKPS) Who has the best imagery, the most beautiful metaphors, the most excellent delivery, in short: who is the best Dutch-language poetry slammer of the year? That is determined during the Nederlands Kampioenschap Poetry Slam (in short: NKPS). The preliminary rounds for the NKPS take place in the Netherlands and in Belgium. Last year, Marjan De Ridder and Zoë van De Kerkhof de Belgische were allowed to defend honor in Utrecht, at the semi-final of the NK Poetry Slam. This year, the finals of the NKPS will be held during the International Literature Festival Utrecht, namely on Wednesday, September 2 (semi-final) and Saturday, September 19 (final). During the summer of 2026, tickets to the semi-final round will be earned in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, and Turnhout. On Thursday, July 2, such a preliminary round will take place in Bibliotheek Turnhout. On Monday, August 31, the finals of the Belgian competition will take place in Kavka in Antwerp.
