Bosbaden of Shinrin-Yoku has its origins in Japan. ‘Shinrin’ is Japanese for ‘forest’ and ‘Yoku’ means ‘bath’. Shinrin-Yoku therefore means bathing in the forest or the forest atmosphere or absorbing the forest through our senses . It is not exercise (walking, jogging,…), but simply being in the great outdoors and connecting with it . Forest bathing is like a bridge. By opening up our senses, the gap between humans and nature is bridged. And when we are in harmony with nature, we can heal: our nervous system can reset, our body and our mind can return to how they should be. When we are in harmony with nature, we feel refreshed and restored . For everyone who experiences stress and is overstimulated , for everyone who needs (mental) rest and time for themselves . For everyone who seeks recovery, awareness, connection, and inner space or has a need for meaning .
