€10–20
In a series of Sunday morning concerts in the Clarenhofkapel, we hear three 'Twintigers' (twenty-somethings) at work in 26/27 who were scouted by radio Klara in recent years and given a helping hand with airtime on the Flemish airwaves.
Sarah Bayens (see also The voice of Mozart on Feb 28, 27) kicks off with a violin recital built around the spring-fresh fioritures and dance rhythms of Bach's famous partita in E major.
Sarah studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel under Shirly Laub to then perfect her skills with Ulf Wallin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. In addition, she followed masterclasses with, among others, Hilary Hahn, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, and Barnabas Kelemen. She is the winner of the Young Belgian Talent 2019 competition and was chosen as Young Musician of the Year 2022 by the Belgische Vereniging van Muziekpers.
Sarah Bayens excels in versatility and is active as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. In this performance, she comes with her violin ‘da sola’, or all by herself.
Meer Twintigers in the Clarenhofkapel on May 09 and June 06, 27.
