Did you know that beer originated in present-day Iraq? That a Chinese brew is the most popular beer in the world? That the tsars in Saint Petersburg drank stout? And that beer is even at the basis of human civilization? During a cozy storytelling evening at a café, comedian Bert Kruismans tells a good story with every glass of beer. Bert Kruismans is, besides a comedian, also a beer lover. Together with beer expert Luc De Raedemaeker he wrote the book ‘Bier’, which is full of surprising beer facts. In addition, Kruismans presented the TV program Tournée Générale on the RTBF, the French-speaking counterpart of the Flemish version of the same name, in which he dived into the wonderful world of Belgian beer culture. When? Thursday 24 September 2026 Doors: 7 p.m. Lecture: 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. Where? Café Hoop in the Future (Wanzele) Price? €5 admission Reservation required via info@erfgoedceldenderland.be Show less
