Frontvrouw Iris Berardocco was inspired by the legendary Andrews Sisters and, together with her band, created a retro sound that feels both nostalgic and surprisingly contemporary. Their debut album Gee Oh Gee immediately yielded notable radio singles such as Hypochondria and Japanese Boogie. On later albums, the group continued to experiment with influences from blues, gospel, Latin, and ragga, without losing their characteristic vintage swing feel. With humor, temperament, and sometimes socially engaged lyrics, The Jacquelines give their own unique twist to the genre.
