BLACK BOX REVELATION at the Huysmanhoeve

Music club N9 is heading to the medieval Huysmanhoeve in June for a weekend full of exclusive concerts in an incomparably beautiful setting. On Friday, June 19, 2026, the dust will be blown off the heritage site, because Black Box Revelation is coming to Eeklo for an unadulterated rock 'n' roll high mass. Hold on to the branches of the Eeklo pear trees, because Black Box Revelation is back harder than ever. Jan Paternoster and Dries Van Dijck showed with their fifth album ‘Poetic Rivals’ (2023) that they are still the undisputed kings of Belgian garage rock . For the recordings, they went to producer Andy Savours (known from Arctic Monkeys and My Bloody Valentine) and you can hear it: glowing rocking choruses immediately hook into your brain, carried by a raw and honest guitar sound that blasts straight out of their old tube amplifiers without cosmetic embellishment. This year it is exactly 20 years ago that the duo from Dilbeek snatched second place in Humo’s Rock Rally 2006 , just after The Hickey Underworld. Since then, Jan Paternoster and Dries Van Dijck have grown into an institution. With songs like ‘I Think I Like You’ , ‘High on a Wire’ and ‘Never Alone / Always Together’ , they single-handedly helped write the Belgian rock DNA. Live, the duo is reinforced by musical jack-of-all-trades Jasper Morel on guitar and keys, allowing the layering of the record to fully come into its own in an overwhelming wall of sound. Black Box Revelation is playing only a handful of concerts this festival summer. The show at the Huysmanhoeve will be extra special: it is their first performance after a live break of almost two years . Moreover, a brand new single will be released before the summer!
