Le poids des fourmis
Théâtre Bluff
Le poids des fourmis is an explosive, funny, and biting satirical comedy that transforms the world's anxiety into a formidable energy of resistance.
Jeanne and Olivier have the world on their shoulders. She vandalizes pubs, he dreams that his generation will be grilled like a marshmallow. But when a school election is organized during an improbable "Future Week," both decide to enter the battle. Fiery speeches, dirty tricks, ninja expeditions, dubious collusion, and frankly suspicious unicorns: the campaign becomes a great political delirium where the absurd reveals, with formidable precision, the flaws of our era.
Under its crazy appearance, Le poids des fourmis talks about very serious things: eco-anxiety, citizen powerlessness, abuse of power, collective laziness, but also the burning desire not to give up. The play laughs loudly, sometimes grinds, shakes a lot, but it does so with contagious vitality.
For at heart, that is indeed what this show is about: even when the world seems too heavy, even when the powerful seem untouchable, the little ones can move the lines. A word, a gesture, a meeting, a tiny revolt can lead to another. Like ants, everyone seems light alone, but together, we become a force capable of moving mountains.
A funny, caustic, and galvanizing show that makes you want to laugh, think, debate, and above all believe again that we have, collectively, weight in the face of the world.
