Piano duo Symbiosis - Aperitif concert

Elisabeth Crommelynck and Sander Meersmans together form Pianoduo Symbiosis. In the intimate setting of the Lakenhal, they bring music that oscillates between light and dark, between stillness and playfulness. In this way, they create a warm, accessible concert experience that invites you to listen, to enjoy and to pause for a moment. For this aperitif concert, Pianoduo Symbiosis celebrates its eleven-year anniversary with a festive program. The pianists select highlights from their journey and supplement them with fresh, surprising accents. The program includes works by, among others, Schubert, Debussy, Henkemans and Porter. Elisabeth Crommelynck and Sander Meersmans met at the conservatory in Antwerp, where they both graduated with high honors. Their close friendship and shared passion for four-hand piano music grew into an intense and refined interplay. Since 2016, they have been immersing themselves with full dedication in the piano duo repertoire. They bring varied programs in which they effortlessly switch between classical and more contemporary work, often supplemented with vocals.
