Wannes Cappelle has shown himself to be a sharp observer as the frontman of Het Zesde Metaal for more than twenty years. However, he took his first steps in comedy. In 2002, together with Dries Helsen, he won the press and audience award at Humorologie. Later, his comedic talent found an outlet in writing scenarios for television series such as Bevergem and Grond. In his first one-man show, Wannes is coached by Wouter Deprez.
