When Wanneer Jacqueline has to leave the house for the weekend to go to her mother, her husband Bernard sees his chance to invite some people over. Everything is arranged: his mistress Suzanne is coming to celebrate her birthday with Bernard, his best friend Robert is also present, and the caterer sends cook Suzette to prepare the dinner.
But then Jacqueline decides in extremis not to go to her mother after all and to stay home. It is the starting signal for a hilarious weekend of comic situations, mistaken identities, and chaos.
