Six degrees of separation is the title of the social theory that states that you are never more than six handshakes away from anyone on this planet. Sixty degrees is approximately the angle needed to lift someone off the ground by pulling on one hand, while the other grabs an aerial strap. 60 degrees of separation bundles those two ideas into an intimate circus performance. An invitation to let yourself be carried away in the pleasure of being together. Everything and everyone on stage moves around you. The drummer sits on a rolling stage and two acrobats float through the air, held up by a single aerial strap. They are holding each other's hand, and will also need yours. Thanks to the audience, breakneck stunts are performed. In 60 degrees of separation, Camille Paycha unites vulnerability and strength, in a clear new proposal for what circus can be.
