A large part of the Uilenbos is closed every year from May until now, so that deer can give birth to and suckle their young in peace. Tonight you exceptionally get the chance to participate in an evening excursion in the forest.
Appointment: we leave at 7:30 PM sharp at the entrance on the Lintsesteenweg for a walk of well over two hours and a quarter.
In all silence, we enjoy the last birdsong, the sounds of insects, and the wind in the forest. With some luck, we will also see deer, now that the rutting season is approaching, and perhaps even a bat. In any case, we tell a lot of facts about the deer of the forest, their way of life, and behavior.
Let us know in advance that you are coming via Uilenbos@zuidrand.be, because the group is limited to 20 participants. A flashlight is allowed, but we prefer to use it as little as possible. This excursion is also suitable for children.
