DAAN - Crooner

For 30 years, DAAN has been surprising his loyal audience with a whirlwind of musical genres, from pop noire to indie rock, electro to country, beats and ballads, usually in English, but sometimes also in Frans of Nederlands. The common thread is the melancholic and at the same time humorous lyrics full of visual metaphors, translated into almost baroque musical paintings. On this tour, you will hear DAAN behind the grand piano or on guitar, Isolde Lasoen – his permanent musical muse – on vibraphone, drums, trumpet, bells, and angelic vocals, and Jean-François Assy – known from Alain Bashung and Yann Thiersen – on his atypical cello. In intimate halls with a seated audience, DAAN can share stories about his colorful journey and mysterious lyrics. In this way, he creates a theatrical cabaret full of emotion and ecstasy. Every evening sounds slightly different, with his own repertoire of more than 300 songs and original interpretations of his favorite covers. Anyone who missed the successful Simple tour or the double platinum album back then gets the chance this winter to experience DAAN again, with new songs and a brand-new vinyl release.
