Socrates

In the theater monologue Socrates, Bruno Vanden Broecke, as the most legendary philosopher in history, looks back on his life and thought a few hours before his death. Socrates, "father of philosophy", teacher of Plato, was a thorn in the side of the Athenian population. He made them think by ironically asking critical questions about all their assumptions. This was not appreciated: at the age of 70, he was accused and sentenced to death by the cup of poison.
