WORKSHOP | Improvised Musical - Summer intensive (ENG/NL) @ Amai Comedy Club

Good news: you don't need the voice of Whitney Houston or Ariana Grande to create musical magic. This summer, it’s time to trust your instincts, close your eyes and leap into the joy of Improvised Musical! What to Expect? Four Tuesday evenings we will dive into the wonderful world where improv theatre and musical theatre collide. You will discover: How to have fun: Practical tips and tricks to stay relaxed and confident on stage when the music starts playing. What to sing about: Some tools you can use whenever you have to improvise a song. How to add some spice to your performance: How to collaborate with your scene partners to create magical songs and scenes. Is this for me? All levels are welcome! No singing experience is required. A little improv theatre experience comes in handy Meet Your Teachers Lieze Walcarius (Teacher) Lieze plays and teaches improv at Amai Comedy Club, and is a member of their musical improv group Fabrique Musique. She has also performed in scripted musical productions (with TeamJacques in Bruges). She is passionate about finding ways to blend the worlds of improv and musical theatre and has been sharpening her own skills at international improv workshops and festivals. Pieter Nieuwlaet (Pianist) Pieter is a musician at Amai Comedy Club and is the resident improvising pianist for Fabrique Musique. He has accompanied numerous improv groups. He will be there providing live piano accompaniment to back you up every step of the way! Fun fact: Pieter occasionally leaves his piano behind to jump on stage and perform improv at Amai Comedy Club.
