Persona

Persona is an abstract drama around two characters: the famous actress Elisabeth Vogler has a mental breakdown and is entrusted to the care of nurse Alma, who takes her to a quiet and remote house by the sea. There, a confrontation unfolds where the characters reveal their most intimate secrets to each other, only to then ‘merge’ into a kind of doubled character. In 1966, this film was considered Bergman's undisputed masterpiece.
