Kaleidophoniꓘ - EVELYN

Kaleidophoniꓘ brings a kaleidoscopic mix of styles and influences, a blend of 70's vibes, exotic sounds and quirky compositions. Their music feels like an arty cocktail full of color, tension and unexpected turns. A symphonic rock opera with a touch of reggae and a pinch of tango, bathed on an effervescent tablet of rock 'n roll, musical and blues. The band was founded by Evelyn De Bels, singer-songwriter and pianist, known from Junior Eurosong 2011 and for people from the region perhaps also as a teacher at the academy Dil'Arte. Together with guitarist Davy Tits, drummer Johnny Ping and bassist Abel De Baerdemaker Vos (born and raised in Dilbeek), she forms the permanent core of Kaleidophoniꓘ. The four got to know each other at LUCA School of Arts, campus Lemmens. Met Stop the Clock presents the band's first album. A swirling journey through genres, cultures and atmospheres. They fuse the West and the East by integrating atypical instruments into a well-known pop/rock rhythm section. E.g. Japanese koto, taiko drums, bandoneon, duduk and the banjo. This group also addresses awareness-raising topics: from work pressure and a collective smartphone addiction to an ode to our planet.
