De Muze - Cabaret from the Meetjesland region

De Muze brings warm, idiosyncratic cabaret in the juicy dialect of the Meetjesland. With vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, violin, and rhythm, Annelien, Geert, Marlies, and Stefan take their audience along in recognizable stories from daily life. Their songs are full of small observations, humor, and a touch of nostalgia. De Muze sings about life as it is, sometimes moving, often funny, always close by. The group has performed before in Theater Tinnenpot and in our cultural center and reached the final of ‘Wim for Live’ during the Gentse Feesten in 2019. Since 2023, they have been guests annually in Theater Box during the Gentse Feesten. For this special performance, in their home base Evergem, De Muze also invites a few guest musicians. They provide extra color and musical surprises. Expect a cozy musical evening full of recognition, humor.
