Fresh air walk in the Neerhoek (Olsene)

In this special area along the Leie, work is in full swing on the restoration of the original marsh landscape. Het Agentschap for Nature and Forest (ANB) carries out various interventions: meadows are made wetter and an old, filled-in Leie meander is made visible again. Thanks to these interventions, the area will be able to buffer more water in the future and it will become more attractive for water birds, among other things. During our walk of about 5 kilometers, we will hold a few short stops with explanations about this fascinating area in full transition
