Mystica - Music Theatre Transparant & MOVEDBYMATTER

Mystica is a ritual that gives voice to eight mystical women who lived between the eighth and sixteenth centuries. The surviving texts of, among others, Hildegard von Bingen, Mirabai, Teresa van Avila, and Sun Bu were rewritten into modern poetry and woven into a contemporary polyphony. With floating hair hangers and choir singers who together search for connection like a community learning to speak a shared language again. What do the words of these female spirits awaken in us today? Mystica is a performance in which circus and music theater meet. Hair hangers and choir singers build a spiritual microcosm together in which everything turns out to be connected. A powerful visual performance in which being together is central. The performance was voted one of the best performances of the season last year by the jury of the TheaterFestival and can now be seen on the stage of the main hall in CCHA, in collaboration with CC Muze, C-mine, and C-TAKT+.
