In the spring of 1999, Belgian entrepreneurs Luc and Geert discover that their network of shell companies will be exposed in the international press. An emergency board meeting is called; their reign is over. Evidence must be destroyed, discretion is mandatory. Tomorrow morning, the police will be waiting for them. After this last meeting, the two men each go their own way and experience their last day as free, rich, and powerful men. Nobody knows they are falling, but they are. Luc, the technical genius, retreats to his villa where his wife Alma turns out to be aware of everything. They spend their last Sunday together: calling investors, rediscovering each other physically for the first and last time in a long time. Luc visits his dying father and Herman, the company's first investor. Because he cannot reach Geert, his trusted partner, his restlessness grows. Gaat Geert run off?
