The Dog Stars

Due to a virus, humanity has been almost completely wiped out. Those who survive are hunted by looters. The pilot Hig is immune to the disease, but among others his wife succumbed to it. Hig lives with his dog in a hangar of an abandoned airport and tries to lead a normal life by fishing. Through a radio transmission he comes into contact with another person after which Hig harbors hope for a better life.
