Het Daghet - Vivaldi concert - Il Prete Rosso

Antonio Vivaldi, nicknamed Il Prete Rosso, was more than a virtuoso composer. His music moves between fire and discipline, between ecstasy and rest, and is deeply connected to time, nature, and rhythm.    Zangkoor Het Daghet, led by Jeroen Driessens, takes you on a musical journey around three major works: Magnificat, Gloria, and fragments from De Vier Jaargetijden. The compositions flow seamlessly into one another, allowing seasons, text, and music to reinforce each other.    Between the parts, Voces post velum is played, a new and subdued work by Jeroen Driessens. He was inspired by Vivaldi and the spiritual sounds of Hildegard von Bingen. It forms a quiet moment of reflection within the program.    Visual work by Koen Lemmens adds an extra dimension and makes this concert a special total experience, in which music, space, and silence come together harmoniously.
