Relaxed afternoon bike ride from Hofstade to Houtem

We depart from the parking lot at Gathuishofweg in Hofstade at 2:00 PM for a trip of about thirty km. We cross the Bloso park and via Schiplaken we cycle to the stop 't Voorhof in Houtem, halfway through our trip. (In good weather, we suggest stopping at the small station of Eppegem for a delicious ice cream.) After that, we ride to Zemst where we also stop briefly at atelier Blend. This studio offers meaningful, customized daytime activities for adults with a mental disability. Entirely voluntarily, some products that these young people make during their daily activities, such as jam or mustard, can be purchased as support. From here, we head back to the starting point. Our special thanks go to Jean and Lisette Donne who took the initiative for this trip. Distance: approximately 30 km. A bicycle helmet and high-visibility vest are highly recommended.
