The title refers not coincidentally to the original meaning of tiramisu: lift me up, pull me up. Just like the dessert, the performance symbolizes comfort, softness and the shaky attempts to keep someone above water.\n\nIn a series of profound and at the same time light-hearted dialogues, the audience goes in search of meaning, resilience and what makes life livable together with two sisters. This tragicomic performance asks heavy questions without losing the light.\n\nThe relationship between two sisters changes abruptly when the oldest announces with much flair that she no longer wants to live. What that ‘not living’ should look like exactly, she does not know yet. Dying she finds namely deathly scary. Yet she is convinced that she wants to stop existing, or at least almost.\n\nThe youngest sister, who already had enough to do without this existential bomb, is forced to take on the role of caregiver. She is determined to change her sister's mind. She does everything to prove that life is worth the effort. Hope and beauty turn out to sometimes be found in the most unexpected places.
