Ostend Concerts is an initiative of Youth Music Center OHK. MOJO & THE KITCHEN BROTHERS ------------------------------- This band conjures up the spirit of the early 70's. Their heavy prog rock evokes associations with, among others, Black Sabbath, Wishbone Ash and Pink Floyd. But they are more than a nostalgia trip: thoroughly nested between the roots of their contemporary psych-rockers, they take you on a limbo between past and present. Solid, psychedelic prog rock in a timeless sauce, with double guitar solos on top! BARNO KOEVOET & THE DUIJMSCHPIJKERS ------------------------------- Straight-ahead-punk-with-hardcore-with-a-twist band from the Venetia of Belgium aka Bruges. Barno Koevoet is an attitude band with a hefty portion of ADHD. Live, they look like a gang of robust children on a sugar rush. Their songs, on the other hand, are razor-sharp and inventive. They were among the 9 finalists of the Nieuwe Lichting 2023 of Stubru and won the Soundtrack opportunity course in 2021. PLAAGGEEST ------------------------------- Plaaggeest is a five-piece avant-folk rock band. Rooted in traditional melodies and instruments, they also allow themselves to be influenced by Nick Cave, Richard Dawson, Mount Eerie, Caroline and Lankum. Their gang of string skirmishes includes: Ierse Bouzouki, Electric and Akoestische Gitaar, Voice, Bass guitar and Drum.
