Bright Lights Sessions

Bright Lights Sessions is a traveling concert series that brings together artists from pop, rock, folk, and indie in a creative pressure cooker. Each edition, a new group of songwriters – from established names to emerging talent – dives into the rehearsal room together for a day. They bring their own songs, which grow into surprising new versions during an intensive jam session. You hear the result of that musical cross-pollination live on stage in the evening: energetic, spontaneous, and full of chemistry. No repetition, no routine. Each concert is unique. Think of an alternative Liefde voor Muziek, but rawer, freer, and more exciting. Laura Cortese and Cleo Janse founded Bright Lights Sessions in 2019 in Ghent. Since then, more than 100 musicians have already met each other in some 35 editions. Among them are resounding names like Meskerem Mees, Frank Vander linden, Kids with Buns, The Bony King of Nowhere and Guido Belcanto, but also new voices like Sam De Nef, BLUAI, Ão and Rosa Butsi. In 2026, Bright Lights Sessions travels outside the Ghent city limits for the first time. New places, new meetings, new magic. (c)Evy Ottermans
