For ten days, Ghent is dedicated to music, meeting, wonder, and spontaneous discoveries. This year the theme is Op Goe Geluk. Ending up somewhere unexpectedly, running into old acquaintances, discovering a new favorite artist, or lingering in a square where you were actually just passing through? It's all possible!
De Gentse Feesten belong to the largest public festivals in Europe and are recognized as Flemish intangible heritage. Everywhere in the city, you can attend concerts and performances. From well-known national artists to the smallest street musician. But children's entertainment, exhibitions, funfairs, parades, and processions also give the Gentse Feesten color. The many food and drink stalls ensure that you won't be hungry or thirsty.
This edition, 565 organizers are providing 3,459 activities together, of which more than two-thirds are during the day. 2,554 activities are wheelchair accessible, 466 activities are especially for children.
