Stoop Kid

Stoop Kid is the indie-rock project of Jens Rubens, characterized by a jangling guitar sound. The band is named after a character from the 1990s Nickelodeon cartoon series *Hey Arnold*. In the series, Stoop Kid is an anxious teenager who does not dare to step away from the sidewalk in front of his house. Memories of getting lost in these cartoons, combined with Jens' own struggle with social anxiety, made the name seem a perfect fit for the project.
