Feest op het Plein (Party on the Square) is the summer evening where music, togetherness, and a cozy atmosphere come together on the village square. For four Thursdays, the square transforms into a vibrant open-air stage full of impressive live performances and dancing feet. Free admission for everyone! On Thursday, July 16, Tourist LeMC brings his unique mix of hip-hop, kleinkunst, folk, and reggae to Feest op het Plein. With his warm Antwerp accent and poignant lyrics, he provides great depth. With his fifth album Alles Onder Controle, Tourist LeMC takes a new path: less hope, more cynicism, but fortunately also more humor. De Antwerpse city troubadour leaves the beaten path for a darker, grimmer alternative – but rest assured, he does not do this alone. Together with his band, he explores a world where the thorns are a bit sharper, but love always remains present. Afterward, REGI takes the stage. Regi Penxten is a Belgian producer and DJ who has achieved legendary status in the music industry. With more than 60 hits, he has had a major impact on the Belgian music scene and beyond. Regi is known for his solo career and his involvement in the highly successful projects Milk Inc and Sylver. His energetic performances and great productions can count on international interest. Bobby Ewing closes the evening festively. He is a music selector, music maker, and 1/3 of the lean-and-mean-dancing-machine Discobar Galaxie. Solo, he is also a gifted turntable athlete. Met Jan Delvaux he creates with Belpop Bonanza theater shows about the most striking curiosities from Belgian pop music. He cannot decide which music genre he likes best, so he plays them all: house and disco, soul and funk, and eightiesninetiesnillies . In his world, Justin Timberlake and The Ramones are best friends, Daft Punk goes on vacation with Kim Wilde, and soul is as much Motown as it is -wax.
