Bally Tshibangu Art Expo

Bally Tshibangu is a young Belgian-Congolese artist born in Brussels in 2004. He started as a painter at the age of 13 with a solo exhibition at the Aragón restaurant. A year later, he participated in "Un parcours d'artistes" at the Ferme Rose (Uccle) where his work immediately aroused public interest, thus marking the rapid and early recognition of his talent. After his latest exhibitions at the CC Paramour, at the Grands Carmes, at the ERG (where he continues his studies), at ZSenne Artlab and at NOMAD Gallery, the artist is preparing for the next big step: his participation in an artistic residency at PICMOL, a space created by Eric Haegelsteen. At 21 years old, Bally Tshibangu is therefore beginning to seriously establish himself on the Brussels art scene and his unique visual signature is already attracting the attention of discerning collectors. His interesting journey, his subversive style and his determination make him an emerging artist to absolutely follow. Bally's pictorial practice is characterized by a constant exploration of the ambiguous and subtle border between abstraction and figuration. This creative process represents for him an inexhaustible source of questioning and visual narratives, also putting the spectator's thought to work, allowing them a personal and free reading of the work. His work is mainly inspired by his environment, his identity, his memories, images and objects of daily life that he reinterprets through an eclectic pictorial language, sometimes organic, sometimes geometric.
