After years of war, climate change, rebellious AI, and gender mislabeling, living conditions on earth have become increasingly impossible. In 2060, it was therefore decided to build a settlement space station on Mars. Four years later, a team of scientists is sent to Mars to rebuild human civilization from the ground up. But when they arrive there, they receive the message from earth that a better alternative had been found in the meantime… Their mission? Pointless. But waiting aimlessly also makes no sense. The four try not to give up and set up the foundations of a new society. And they do that together with a grumpy robot and a contact person on earth who shows less and less interest in the four on Mars. Creating a new society turns out to be a bit less evident than thought. Should the four base themselves on the past? And are we doomed to keep making the same mistakes over and over again?
