Frans Kalf won NeKKA last year, the leading music competition for Dutch-language talent in the Lage Landen. Since then, things have been moving fast for the band, named after its frontman. The debut single ‘Terwijl je voor me stond’ received extensive radio airplay and the group toured as a support act for Dressed Like Boys, Kaat Van Straelen, and Johannes Is Zijn Naam.
In the run-up to the release of the first album this autumn, Frans Kalf is going on tour along smaller venues. With catchy songs and poignant lyrics, the band takes you into a bittersweet world, in which there is room for both a broken heart and a roar of laughter.
Anyone who loves intimate listening songs in the atmosphere of Spinvis, Ramses Shaffy of Serge Gainsbourg, will effortlessly find their way into the universe of Frans Kalf.
