Alon Sariel and Lise Vandersmissen - Vintage Vienna

Mandolinevirtuoos Alon Sariel and harpist Lise Vandersmissen take you to the Vienna of the nineteenth century. In the salons of that time, music, melancholy, and beauty reigned: they try to bring this atmosphere back to life. The combination of both instruments provides a warm and intimate sound palette. This nostalgic ode to a vibrant cultural world sounds surprisingly fresh and timeless. With mandolin and harp, they bring work by Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert. The program is supplemented with solo works by Franz Liszt and Gottfried Kirchhoff, which results in a varied musical journey. A few years ago, Lise Vandersmissen was already a guest in Herentals with the Aglica Trio. Alon Sariel previously played there with Oxalys Ensemble.
