Teyrrasfolk 2026 is a free music festival with six evenings full of pure dance pleasure. Every evening starts with a dance initiation for everyone who wants to loosen up their legs. Folk dancing might seem difficult, but nothing could be further from the truth. Thanks to the social character (you rarely dance alone) a fine evening is guaranteed. Come and enjoy, we have a large terrace in the courtyard of our music club. Start your evening with a tasty meal: our outdoor kitchen opens at 6:00 PM. Honest and fresh, but be quick, because when it's gone, it's gone! Whoever thinks of folk music with zest, groove and guts, thinks of Kwartet Gestrikt. This quartet brings energetic power-folk, driven by bagpipes, accordion, clarinet, guitar and trumpet. No medieval nostalgia, but a vibrant dance party rooted in various European traditions. After performances at the Boombalfestival and the Gentse Feesten, the quartet continues to surprise the audience with bold arrangements and playful interaction. Each member brings their own musical background, from classical and pop to jazz, giving traditional melodies a fresh, contemporary touch.
