Trainspotting

Trainspotting is the story of the unemployed Mark Renton who, together with his mates, tries to add some color to the boring Edinburgh of the 90s. Their lives consist mainly of drinking beer, going out, drugs, and football. Mark does his best to choose a new life and break free from his drug-filled past. He moves to London, but his friends and past continue to haunt him. When Toen Trainspotting was released in 1996, the film hit like a bombshell. The intense rawness, the absence of a moralizing finger, the dark humor, the brilliant soundtrack, and the legendary 'Choose Life' opening scene were unprecedented.
