10 years ago Elena van Antwerpen walked to Rome. 10 years ago she graduated with a performance about that walk. It was a story about connection, wonder, and trust. It played in living rooms, parish halls, theaters, and festivals. Elena's entire later path starts from there. Over the past 10 years, not only she herself, but also the world has changed. What does it give if she combines her own further development with the naive girl who speaks from the story of back then? A 10-year anniversary, on tour again with the performance of back then, but with her view of 10 years later added to it. Elena speelt ELENA: an intimate and powerful ode to growth, travel, and life on the road. This is what it looked like back then: ELENA, my graduation project. ELENA, or also: diary of a snail, it goes, to Rome and back again, 2200km, the turtle always wins, the girl with the red stiletto's, sorry to the crickets, without more, on the way, something with cows and a meadow. Very welcome! Elena speelt ELENA in the little church of Millegem, a special place to be able to experience this performance, ideal for pilgrims like her. After the performance, the Socrates project will be discussed: social contact by referral in the municipality of Ranst. Finally, there is a reception to catch up. This activity is organized by the Socrates project, in collaboration with the Gemeente Ranst and with support from the Fund Dr. Daniël De Coninck, managed by the Koning Boudewijnstichting.
