Autism-friendly family trip to the Bakkerijmuseum

Mon, 20 Jul 2026 · 08:00
Bakkerijmuseum, Veurne
€20–23
On Monday, July 20, 2026, we head to the Bakkerijmuseum in Veurne. There we start with a bread-baking workshop. This basic bread-baking workshop is the ideal introduction to the baking craft. A workshop supervisor teaches you the basic tricks of the trade and gives an explanation about the ingredients. Afterward, you get to work yourself and everyone makes their own bread that you can take home. While the dough rises and bakes in the oven, it is time for a guided tour in the museum. A museum guide takes the group on a tour and immerses us in the wonderful world of the baking craft and baking culture. This way you get to know the museum in a completely different way! At the end of the activity, every participant takes his or her own bread home! The visit will be a beautiful moment of connection with the children, but also with like-minded parents. With this activity, we focus on families with children with autism between 6 and 12 years old. Brothers, sisters, parents, other family members, or friends are of course also always welcome! Attention: Accompanying parents/brothers/sisters/partners must also purchase a ticket for the accompanying activity.
