The performance on Friday, October 2, is sold out. Tickets are still available for September 30 and October 1. From childhood, brothers David and Danny Ronaldo have played the clown as a mirror to our human weaknesses. With poetic simplicity and pure clowning, they magnify the small and make the everyday wonderfully large. In ‘La Cucina dell’Arte’, they move this universe to the bustling world of the kitchen. Between pots, pans, and porcelain, a spectacle full of humor, music, and acrobatics arises. Danny Ronaldo apprenticed with the Sicilian master pizzaiolo Paolino Bucca, and a 19th-century kitchen cart on cartwheels was considerably filled with porcelain tableware and the necessary edible and juggleable nutrients. Once the fragile kitchen cabinets open, an accordion begins to lead its own life, spoons play a tarantella on wine bottles, and the ‘fragile’ spectacle can begin. This legendary performance received five-star reviews and standing ovations from Reykjavik to Lisbon, from Sydney to Hong Kong, and can now be seen in Schoten/Brasschaat.
