In the mid-80s, John grows up in a small Scottish town. He dreams of becoming a professional footballer, but suddenly he gets strange tics. I Swear is a poignant drama about a young man with Gilles de la Tourette who struggles with control, stigma and his place in the world. The story helps to change the view of this syndrome. A both funny and moving film about vulnerability and the power of acceptance. At numerous festivals, I Swear was praised by the audience and awarded 3 BAFTAs.
