On Sunday, August 30, we are hosting musician Floris Francis Arthur (solo) at 't Uilekot at 5 PM. Floris Francis Arthur is the solo project of Floris De Decker (musician with The Van Jets, Intergalactic Lovers, Team William). Armed with only his guitar, he aims straight for the heart with dead-honest, fragile songs. His songs bathe in a dark, melancholic lo-fi indie folk atmosphere with Americana and 90s indie rock influences. Denk Alex G meets Ennio Morricone. What began as intimate bedroom folk on debut album There Never Is And Never Was A Masterplan, grew on the second record Little Did I Know into a layered and powerful band sound that effortlessly made year-end lists. In 2026, FFA is taking a new path with a Dutch-language third album, in which his cinematic sound blossoms even further — think: Gorki meets Big Thief. With the first Dutch-language single Hou Me Tegen — meanwhile played to death on Radio 1 — FFA already gave a telling preview of what is yet to come. Currently, his song 'Wolfje' is in the VOX list of Radio 1. Expect melancholy, intensity, and songs that stay with you. Free admission, voluntary contribution welcome.
