In the early 1950s, on the banks of the Marne, 11-year-old François discovers with interest that his parents are beginning to build a boat in their small family garden, a replica of the sailboat belonging to the famous sailor Joshua Slocum. Over the years, in post-war France, young François will sail from adolescence into adulthood. As the boat is being built, while casting a tender and poetic gaze upon his mother and father, the young boy will begin his own adventure, one that will lead him on the path of his passions: the sea and drawing.
