Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Forêt de Soignes is 80% made up of majestic beech trees, organized in high forests that earned it the nickname "cathedral beech forest".
During this walk under the foliage, we will observe this iconic species. How to recognize it: its bark, its fruits, its way of growing. What are the other living specimens linked to it, such as mushrooms, insects, birds, squirrels, and other mammals. We will also discuss the impact of current and future climate change on this giant and its perspectives and consequences on our beautiful forest.
Loop walk (start and finish at the same place) of max 3 km. Clothing and shoes to be provided according to the weather.
