Night of the bat 2026

Did you know that there are 23 species of bats living in Belgium? Some bats live in houses, caves, or abandoned forts, others in hollow tree trunks. Each species has its favorite spot. There are quite a few misunderstandings about bats, which is why many people are wrongly afraid of them. However, these flying nocturnal animals are not aggressive at all and certainly do not turn into vampires.
