Bird's-eye view

The life of the Mallard family has become a bit of a rut. Vader Mack likes to keep his family safe and thinks it's fine to keep paddling around in their pond in New England for the rest of their lives, but mother Pam wants something different for once and would like to show their children —teenage son Dax and duckling Gwen— more of the world. After a family of migratory birds lands in their pond with exciting stories about distant lands, Pam manages to persuade Mack to go on a family vacation via New York City to tropical Jamaica. Als de Mallards heading south for the winter, their carefully planned trip soon goes awry. Through the experience, they do broaden their horizons, get to know new friends, and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
