Exhibition 'The Six of Antwerp' at MoMu Antwerp

In 2026, the Fashion Museum (MoMu) celebrates the 40th anniversary of the international breakthrough of the Zes van Antwerpen with a large-scale expo. For the first time, an official exhibition is dedicated to these six iconic designers. The expo highlights the unique path that connects the six designers. Their story began at the Koninklijke Academie for Schone Kunsten in Antwerp and resulted in six influential solo careers. Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, and Marina Yee put Antwerp on the fashion map when they showed their collections at the British Designer Show in London in 1986. This led to their international breakthrough and established Antwerp's reputation as a fashion city. Their idiosyncratic designs influence the fashion world to this day. Appointment on Tuesday, August 18 at 8:45 AM in the main hall of the Centraal Station in Brussels. We will take the train to Antwerp shortly after 9 o'clock. After that, a short piece by tram or bus follows: bring your De Lijn subscription or pay for the ride with your bank card. The guided tour starts at 10:30 AM. If we have time, we will first have a cup of coffee beforehand. After the tour, there is free time to eat together or just enjoy the beauty of the city.
