For this music performance, Tom Clement spoke to and drew more than sixty people who came to Belgium from all over the world. His two most important questions were: ‘What is your favorite song?’ and ‘Would you be willing to sing it sometime?’. Song, portrait and story form the basis for a musical performance in which Tom and Tsubasa Hori sing songs from all over the world together with the audience. SingSong is a feast for your ears and your eyes. On the website Singsong.be you will find a selection of the portraits and songs that Tom collected. Tom Clement is a musician and illustrator from Antwerp. In his work, he merges image and music into a recognizable and poetic universe, in which daily life is central. Tom makes this performance together with Tsubasa Hori, a musician who moved here from Japan. As a multi-instrumentalist with various companies such as Zonzo Compagnie and Eastman, she is a welcome guest on both Belgian and international stages. The performance is a feast for anyone who is learning Dutch or who already knows it well.
