Kathedraalfestival Brugge - Jordi Figaró i Voltà, tenora and Juan Paradell Solé, organ (ES)

Jordi Figaró i Voltà is a teacher of tenora, flabiol, and cobla at the Conservatorium van Barcelona and the ESMUC, where he studied with masters Colomer i Vilà (tenora) and Olcina i León (flabiol). He performs throughout Europe, Caracas, and Bogotá, accompanied by piano, organ, carillon, and orchestras. He has contributed to the recordings of more than 70 albums, including "Passió perla tenora" with pianist Jordi Vilaprinyó. He is a soloist with the Barcelona City Orchestra, the Catalan Symphony Orchestra, and the Mediterranean Orchestra, and conductor of the Sabadell Youth Orchestra. Juan Paradell Solé was born in Igualada (Barcelona – Catalonia – Spain), and began his musical education with Father Albert Foix, a specialist in Gregorian chants. He studied organ with Professor Montserrat Torrrent at the Conservatorium van Barcelona. In 1973, he moved to Rome to study organ and composition with Professor Monsignor Valentí Miserachs. After graduating in Rome, he spent three years in Germany with Professor Günther Kaunzinger. Meanwhile, he is titular organist emeritus of the choir of the Sixtijnse Kapel – Vatican, as well as former titular organist of the Papal Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome for more than thirty years. He teaches organ and Gregorian chant at the Conservatorium Licinio Refice in Frosinone (Italy). In 2021, Zijne Heiligheid Paus Franciscus awarded him the Order of the Augustae Crucis insignia pro Ecclesia et Pontifice for his exceptional commitment and work for the benefit of the Church and the Heilige Vader. Academic member (foreign correspondent) of the Accademia Archeologica Italiana – Afdeling Artistieke Disciplines. He has an intensive concert schedule throughout Europe, Russia, Syria, Lebanon, the USA, and South America and participates in important international organ festivals.
