Het Oud Kerkhof van Hasselt: a 19th-century park cemetery

Walk on the 19th-century cemetery with attention to the rich funerary symbolism. We discover the graves of the many Hasselt residents who helped determine the appearance of the city (mayors, gin distillers, politicians, noble families, artists ...). It is an atmospheric park with a unique splendor of trees, mosses, and other plants. The dead are silent as a grave but the graves tell us a whole history.
