Opening of the musing path a walk for musing

On Saturday, December 19, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the Mijmerpad will be festively opened. This accessible walking route invites you to reflect together on a deceased loved one, share memories, and experience a sense of connection. During the walk, you will be invited through inspiring reflection questions to keep stories, meaningful moments, and memories alive. This creates space for meeting, comfort, and recognition. The opening starts at the Sociaal Huis Ninove with a welcoming speech. Various experiential moments are provided along the way. Aan de Abdijsite provides a musical intermezzo via Vrijspel, a poem will be unveiled at the cemetery, and participants can enjoy a cup of warm soup at the residential care center. The walk ends at the Sociaal Huis, where everyone is welcome for Ninove pie, carrot cake, coffee, and hot chocolate. Het Mijmerpad is an initiative of Palliatieve Zorg Dender region and aims to make grief, palliative care, and end-of-life care negotiable in an accessible way.
